"Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind a bit, it's probably a chance to do something different," he said.
Will be interesting to see what that means!

Have to disagree there, his comments suggest he is planning something even more drastic. He won't comb his hair at all!
20 minutes less in front of the mirror is 20 minutes more to talk with Kirky about how great Bevan is (or maybe 15 mins "talking" and 5 cleaning up). Anything could happen!
Bad news for Grundy and Schmidt. Good news for Crouch and Davis.
Sad but true. Roos doesnt have the balls to make real changes. We will see some inexperienced players who we should be giving game time, replaced by Davis (which is fine) , and someone such as Crouch or LRT.
Can bet your house, and wife for that matter, on the fact the real under-performers will be there next week, and the week after. I.e: Ben Matthews, Jude Bolton.
In: LRT, Davis, Laidlaw, two of Rowe or Thornton or Brabazon or Moore or Simpkin or White
Out: McVeigh, J Bolton, Bevan, Grundy, Mathews

Rowe isn't eligible. He's on the rookie list. Simpkin and White are (IMHO) nowhere near ready. I don't think Brabazon is either, though other reserves watchers may disagree with that (I'd be surprised if they did on Simpkin and White).
I don't think you'd bring in Laidlaw and Thornton together to make their debuts. They're quite similar and easing both in in the same game wouldn't be easy. Though maybe Laidlaw as a medium sized forward (play Davis further up the ground for parts of the game) and Thornton as a run-with player (ie replacing McVeigh) might work. Thornton's last two games, however, have only been so-so.
Moore must be a chance, though I'd bring him in at the expense of Buchanan - of whom I'm a big fan but I don't think he's close to fit enough at the moment.
Don't discount Vogels - he was impressive on Saturday. He could either replace Grundy as another tallish forward or, if Hall's deemed not fit enough, come in and play as a CHF (or play a ROK type role and let ROK play at CHF). I'd like to see Grundy given a game where he's actually made a proper target, rather than the very odd way they've been using him thus far in 2007. His great strength is his contested marking but he's rarely had a chance to play from the goal square where that may benefit the team. Not sure that its ideal to pitch him against Scarlett but there's probably little to lose.
And Phillips would be a chance too. His form warrants it. If only they'd instruct him to stay within and around the forward 50 and not run up and down the ground he might prove to be effective.

Think I need to get to some of these reserves games.....
If you listen to some people around here, Every listed player is a potential Brownlow, Norm Smith or Coleman medal winner.. (All 3 in some instances)....

the ressies look good because their opposition is very mediocre.
don't get carried away with scorelines of 267+.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Hence why they need to be tried in the seniors to see what they can do. It has to happen eventually, so better sooner rather than later, particularly if you can filter them in gradually.
