I think this is a no downside game.

We are an outside chance to win. If we do it will put our season on track.

If we lose, but still play well, it is better than expected and may help regain some confidence.

If we get smashed, it won't be unexpected.

I believe the other games over the next few weeks are more important.

I doubt we'll get thrashed. It has been a while since we have been thrashed like some are predicting...

They will almost certainly play better than last week in any case.

I think it will be a fairly close one, but it is hard not to pick Geelong at the moment.

          Geelong by 15 points.

The handbaggers of old to return.
The real Swans by 81 points.

Pies would have beaten us by 60 if they could kick. Having said that, I think we'll win by about 20

You never know - if Collingwood had kicked straight they may have wn by more than 40 points. The last time we lost by 40 or more points was in the first half of 2005. The last time we lost by more than 60 points was mid 2004.

Do you mean that you think we are gunna get done by Freo as well?????? Oh @@@@e!!

Unless we change something, were gunna get done by 20 - 40 points.

However!! When the Swannies are on Fox and I`ve gotta travel to the Greenwood pub to watch the boys with a half/doz pints, we seem to win. ( Port/ Bullies/ Hawks). Please tell me the Geelong match is on Fox!

38 point turn around over last weekend, us by 19 points (easy)!
Should win by more but will concede a few late goals to the cats.

One thing's for certain - we won't get smashed. We were as bad as we could've been last week and only lost by 19 points. Our style of play doesn't allow us to get smashed. We've lost 6 games this year, with our biggest loss being 25 points.

I have a pretty good feeling about this week. For some reason, we thrive on being the underdog. We also have a habit of knocking off sides on top of the ladder (St.Kilda in '04 and WC in '05).

The jury is still well and truly out on Geelong as far as I'm concerned.

If we play well - we'll win.

I think the scoreboard was flattering last week. Collingwood had 21 scoring shots to 7 at 3QT, and 26 to 17 at full time. That often equates to a lead of about 10 goals at 3QT and 5 goals at full time. I'm not sure that any particular or special style of play reduced the scoring shot difference.

Yep agree Plugger, but we do need our top flight players to stand up and be counted, and we have to be tough and relentless at the contests and smash them hard.

The result last week definitely flattered us, but the fact is - for whatever reason - we don't get smashed. We've been completely outplayed numerous times this year but have still been within striking distance late in those games.

Maybe they missed shots on goal because of our pressure.
