ALLEGED killer Christopher Hudson rubbed shoulders with judges, lawyers and members of the AFL fraternity at a wake for QC Peter Hayes, 11 days before the CBD shooting. The accused gunman mixed with society figures at a stylish members' bar at the MCG on June 7.
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

I'm glad I didn't post in this thread until after I saw your post. Seems a bit silly to pass judgement on Didak just because he mixed with the bloke. Still, Didak should be careful with the company he keeps, it's just common sense, and this applies to all footballers and people in general. There may well be more to come on this, but so far, I agree with Eddie for once:

McGuire said Didak showed "profound stupidity for being out at that time of the morning in an errant and ridiculous place"
      source

Sure, footballers who continue to show "profound stupidity" definitely should be punished. The only way seems to be to take away the thing that means the most to them, their ability to play football, as that's when they realise that things are serious.

Didak told police that at the time of the drive by shooting in campbellfield that he was passed out in the car.Security footage of the car with the 4 occupants has shown the Didak was lying and the they were all awake. So in essence the man that died trying to help the lady that Hudson was attacking would have been alive today if Didak had the nuts to come forward straight away.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Hmmm... More easily said than done.

I like to think of myself as the kind of guy that would help out and would report such behaviour. However, when it comes down to the fact that you're knowingly dobbing in three bikies (Who we all know have a reputation for being amongst our least understanding/caring/sharing citzens and aren't afraid to measure out their own justice to people who tell tales), well I guess it would give us all pause to think twice about reporting such incidents. Especially when you're involved in what was, at the time, arelatively harmless (albeit stupid and irresponsible) carry on by a bunch of wanna be tuff guys.

Would it have prevented the ensuing fatality??? Well I guess the question really is, Would have the cops done anything about it if it WAS reported to them??? I seriously wonder whaether they would have. And even if they had, would that have been enough to prevent the events that followed?? Probably not.

No doubt, the guy's a tool (both of them) and he deserves more than what he has got thus far from Collingwood FC. But seriously, can he be held responsible for what happened?? I'd say no.

Relatively harmless you have to be kidding dont you?Harmless is ringing some ones door bell and running off not drive-by and shootings. The cops would have been onto him in a flash they already knew about Hudson already after his fiasco on the Gold Coast and they suspected him of it any way.If Didak had of come forward straight away, that man would have been alive today no doubt about it.Can Didak be held accountable,no not totaly but he should have charges laid against him for obstructon of justice and making a false report to police.Maybe the dead mans family can bring civil chargers against him.

OK... Let's not dispute the harmless... firing a gun in an industrial area is not smart and probably not harmless but it's not intentionally trying to kill someone either. That was the scale. But meh, it's not harmless then.

And you're assuming the cops would have done something. You're also assuming that that the two others in the car wouldn't have supported his side of the story. i.e. that there was no gun, never had one, never saw one officer! On that basis alone, he would of, at the most, maybe, been questioned and back out inside of 6hrs.

Now we crystal ball to TWO weeks later??? Would have cops ever found the gun and do more than question him?? And if they had of charged him he would have been ordered to appear before a court in October.

Either way, he's still on the streets.

And in the light of his statement being proven false "allegedley", he should be charged. But until THAT is proven, he's only guilty of being a tool.

I agree. Instead of fining them they should suspend them for a game. Of course then the supporters are punished too unfortunately.

Why? Hudson was already a wanted man whom police were looking for. From what's been said so far, Didak had no information on his whereabouts after the night.

3.5 million people in Melbourne and you think by someone just saying they were in the car when the shots were fired at Campbellfield would automatically see Hudson arrested. His car was parked in a no standing zone out the front of the police station for a day and a half after the CBD shootings and they couldn't find it - a courier did.

The location of the vehicle was a little farcical wasn't it?

Ah but the C/field incident was a fair bit more than a day and a half before the shooting in the city so maybe the police might have found him,not all the police are constable plods.
