Doubt his knees would last another couple of seasons.

He has time, so I'll say yes. It's only two more years after this one.

            i hope he does
he deserves to have a day in the sun all for him like archer has 2day

he's been very good this year doing the 1% things and trying really hard with the poor delivery he's been getting.

plus the kicking is decent this yr

If he keeps going, it'll be around 270... Add a long finals campaign means he'll been within a bee's dick (come end of next season if he plays each and every game of course).

I'd rather see him as < 300 games and 2x premiership player.

It's not so long ago that we shivered and shook every time he was tackled or twisted to take a mark or chase the ball..his endurance is fantastic these days, and, touch wood, he seems to be injury free.
Of course, injury free for MOL is not the same as for we mortals, who like to be able to walk from Sunday till Wednesday in wintertime..
I would love to se him get to 300, but it's a massive ask from here.

He's been one of our few highlights this years, particularlly up forward. The way he's playing at the moment suggests that there's no reason he couldn't play another two years. Though I would prefer him to get his 300th up in a GF in 2008 and walk off the field for the last time with a premiership medal...

Not quite possible, unless they extend the length of the 2008 season.

He's on 260 games now. Maximum number for the rest of this year is 9 more H&A plus 4 finals, taking him to 273. But then the maximum number he could play in 2008 is 26, meaning held be stranded on 299. And even that would require a GF this year -something not looking particularly likely at the moment.

C'mon... He'll make the GF in both years!! And when they bring back state of origin next year, he'll get his 300th!

This will largely depend on Roos' assessment of how we are placed for 2008. If he thinks we're still a genuine contender for the flag, Mick should play on. But if its time to rebuild for a couple of years, then Mick should retire.

At this stage the latter seems more likely.

He's a decent chance to get to 300 games as defined by the AFL requirement for life membership. That does include pre-season games (but I suspect only Wiz Cup, not Wiz Challenge games) and SOO. He's probably got one or two SOO games under his belt from way back (can't quite remember) and back in his younger days he almost certainly played pre-season competition matches. If he ever managed to get onto the park for the All-Stars exhibition game, that might count too.

He would be a week to week proposition if he was forced to crash packs like he did at Geelong. Great to see him play with such enthusiasm.
