I/C: Kennelly, Laidlaw, McVeigh, Roberts-Thomson, Schmidt, Schneider, Vogels

My view on the interchange bench and how it will play out:

How it will be named tomorrow night: Kennelly, Schmidt/McVeigh, Schneider and Roberts-Thomson.

How it will end up come 12.40pm Sunday Afternoon: Laidlaw, Schmidt/McVeigh, Schneider and Roberts-Thomson.

There can be no way Kennelly can be ready to go and/or we would be so willing to risk him so soon after his second knee injury after rushing back so soon from his first knee injury this season and getting re-injured. I would suggest he will named in the Final 22 tomorrow night but will be a late withdrawal on Sunday with Laidlaw getting the axe at first tomorrow night but ending up playing anyway. So I don't think there is a great deal to be worked up over here. If Kennelly was going to play he would be named in the starting lineup and not the bench.

McVeigh and Schmidt are fighting for one spot in my mind. On form Schmidt would be the better option of the two and on team balance Schmidt even makes sense. I don't know what the coaching staff will be thinking on this one, but I would rather the player who can go in and get the ball and do something positive with it and that player is Schmidt. McVeigh needs to take a step back for a few weeks to work on he game before he is given another chance in the seniors (and he isn't the only one). But thats my opinion, as we all know the coaching staff are going to do the complete opposite which will anger all of us.

Schneider gets the 3rd spot on the bench because you don't bring him back otherwise and LRT takes Vogels spot in the team, with Vogels providing back up to Hall in case he is a late withdrawl (which would seem unlikely, but possible).

Why stop at base camp? Won't you consider taking it to the top?
      Bring it on!

              You shouldn't take the piss.

Maybe it'll be more controversial than you think and he'll burn his bra too?

Maybe one day you'll consider making intelligent posts that don't deliberately derail threads.

Couldn't have put it into better words myself. I think playing Kennelly, especially in consideration of the players coming in, could backfire if he were to possibly inflame his injury further and miss the most important weeks (if we are there).

I can see the Swans getting most of their players back at the right time of the year - Just need Crouchy back (and Kennelly) for a stronger, more rounded and consistent team.

                          That's abuse.

And I'm not BLT. Unless you want to have a Spartacus moment. Then we can all be BLT.

                          You're so dramatic.

There are several other words that come to mind in addition to frustrated

Roos doesn't really have the scope to play ducks and drakes with the team like last week given the ressies are playing prior to the main game. Even if they were cautious surely only one player would be held back from the ressies as an emergency. So it should be mostly revealed once the ressies run out.

The thing that pisses me the most is that I bet we'll end up winning well and Matthews will pick up 15 possies being the "link" man through the middle totally glossing over his @@@@house performances of late. He's become a classic front runner instead of standing up when the chips are down like Goodes and Kirk last week.

I would expect Laidlaw to play for another week or two. More often than not, new players get two or three weeks to show their wares.
