    Local Rumour

St Kilda are interested in Laidlaw. I think he's worth keeping ahead of a few others we have, but I reckon he might go if he was approached.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Now Lyon is at the aints, just about every swans player will be 'rumoured' to be going there.

I'm sure we could strike a trade deal for Sooky.

General, you would hope we have a strategy that has been articulated to all the young footballers that would make them think they are wanted and want to stay. If we dont will there be a walkout or trade mes at the end of the year.

Let's hope McVeigh and Benny were 'teachers (Lyon) pets' when he was our Midfield coach. He can have them both at a bargain price

I spat the dummy with the Swans last week. If Laidlaw goes due to lack of opportunities I will....will.....will.....do....something. I can't think of anything bad enough

It infuriates me seeing young kids getting a go in other successful teams and people like Laidlaw not getting a go with ours. It was not as if he made a fool of himself at Shell Stadium...he played well and did not look out of his league.

The leafy suburbs of Eastern Melbourne must beckon.

Give me Lenny Hays thank you. I'm sure he wouldn't mind coming home. We could do with a player like him, I think.

The thing is our youngsters aren't usually successful when they leave us, so the selectors are probably right in holding them back until they are ready for seniors and not rush their development.

It would be good if Schmidt can hold his place for a possible finals shot.

If the aints offer us a decent trade (Picks or players), I'd say lets go for it. None of us can say much about Laidlaw, and at the moment he's at best a fringe player.

He could be the next Leo Barry. He could be the next Jason Saddington.

They're not likely to offer too much.

Lets trade him to Carlton for Fev.

Lyon knows how bad they are too so he wouldn't want them either.
