    Dilemma

The last two games have seen two huge dummy spits by one Doglady.

Forced to listen to the games on radio as the early Sunday games are now Foxtel and I am in severe cash flow crisis. I have been so furious with the players thatI have wanted to tlelport myself to the ground and slap them on the bottoms to shake them out of their attitude of "we will start playing once we have worked out what the opposition is doing first then we will have a game plan".

Due to lack of magical powers I have stormed out of the house and gardened, very vigorously. On coming back inside have found said team to be ahead....."Heeee Heee, Satch is not listening now boys ..let's play!!!!!!!"

So where do I stand at the beginning of the game this week? Night game....freezing here in Tassie. Do I light up the fire barrel and hack at the last remaining agapanthus in the dark in 50 layers of clothing? Do I try and sneak into the house without the players seeing me?

Or do I leave it up to the players and coaches to be professional enough to start playing from the first bounce?

    Suggestions?

Hide under a blanket in front of the Tele, allow enough room for you to see the TV with one eye, so the players don't realise you are actually watching.

That said, if they lose and your garden isn't perfectly neat, by LAte Saturday night, you know where all the fingers will be pointing the balme!!

I just like the image of you slapping them on the bottom.

Get yourself a flower box or two for the windows, buy a few indoor plants and bring your gardening indoors (with the TV off)

I was in the Chairman's Club for the Fremantle game and even the MC commented on how we were all too early as the Swans don't turn up until half time. Well they had better turn up from the opening bounce this week - and for the record I will take a 1 point win to Swans.

Gee, I'm glad I started this thread!!! It was aimed at how to get the team off their (sore) backsides and start well, but has degenerated into Tassie bashing.

I don't care. I'll take my sunny but cold walks along the beach without crowds thank you very much with that magical clear light. You can keep laughing in your traffic congestion and your hour train trips home.

If you're really a Tasmanian... How do you know what a train is??

I am really old. I can remember the 5 hour Tasman Limited trip to Hobart from Launceston.

p.s. My great grandfather was an alcoholic Irishman who worked at the Inveresk railyards(Aurora Standium) doing the detail painting on the carriages. I don't know how his hand was steady some days.
