    Macca

He's had enough threads bagging him so reckon he deserves one acknowledging a pretty decent game.

Surely tonight was evidence that he should be unleashed from his tagging roles and told to go out and win the ball. Some of the things he did tonight were quite sublime and had we not been so smashed at the clearances for most of the night, we may have seen more of it.

Yes, he has to take some of the blame for Cousins getting so much space - but just more reason why he should be played as a playmaker, not a stopper.

absolutely - i think he's been great the last few weeks in the midfield and going forward.

he's lifted and is playing well so i hope he keeps it up.

I think he was told to play off Cousins to try and expose his lack of match fitness. A one-all draw IMO.

I like McVeigh. I don't like Jude, Mathews, or Bevo, and I'm starting to wonder if Ted will ever come good, but I like McVeigh, and I like Noggy too.

Yep he will be a an oustisde player, but has learnt his trade off tagging same.

The Indian mystic gave him a touch up tonight though.

That was clearly his best game and he and Fosdike did a heck of a lot of gut running right to the end. If he plays like that every week thenm I have no gripe with him. His disposal the last few weeks has been far more positive and accurate and he seems now to be kicking through the footy, and he won a lot of contested ball.

Compare him to no.24 who has an inability to keep his feet and has no pace. McVeigh clearly has gone past him and is doing positive stuff with the footy. Right in our best tonight.

McVeigh was actually OK playing on Cuz.

The problem started when Ablett and Bevan started playing on him - That's when the massacre begun.

He still lacks hardness though, which is why he shouldn't play on the ball. He's most dangerous in a forward pocket or on a half forward flank.

He just needs to learn to be a bit quicker with his disposal in, or near, the goal square. But he had a really good game tonight.

Noggy, did he play tonight? A weak effort for mine and again refuses to include second efforts in his game. Couldn't run out of site on a dark night. Who on this site had the gaul to include him in the same sentence as Gary Ablett Jnr?

I just like him. I did not say he was any good. He certainly is not in the same class as his cousin.

Sorry Robbo, I thought he added hardness to his game tonight. Probably he and Kirk were the only ones at centre bounces who got their hands on the footy. Jude proved tonight he is only capable of getting a touch against the bottom sides. When he did his disposal was pox.
