    now for the b1 bashing

anyone care to start, after a great game last week ....b1 goes back to his usual self. they rate him in melb so lets trade him there , maybe we can get a second round pic or a useful midfielder from somewhere.
who knows maybe to essendon for macca sr, now thats wishful thinking

Name the last regular-22 selection player who Sydney traded. Shannon Grant, who was going to walk anyway? (Troy Cook was in and out of the side, Ryan Fitzgerald already identified as a chronic injury problem, and Jason Saddington couldn't get a game in 2005.) Doesn't happen.

JBolt was very poor tonight. After being good-to-very-good last week. Hard to see how that adds up to being the end of his career, from my angle. Obviously those who think he's generally useless and wish it would be the end of his career will be all over it.

I have been criticised ad nausium for dumping on the little dumpling but I have had a gutful of his nothing games. As I said in another thread he conveniently goes to ground at almost every one on one that he gets to, and tonight was standing off contests and waiting for the cheap handpass that might have come his way. What kicks he had were 10th rate and his performance was nothing short of pox.

What annoyed me was that Fosdike and Mcveigh were running their guts out right to the end but Bolton was not to be seen apart from right near the end where once again he piked out of it by falling over. The time on ground stat will be interesting because I dont where got for most of the time the ball was used in the game. He was rarely sighted in the forward 50 and sure as hell didn't get back at all, so he must have been in the space between 50 metre arcs waiting for the errant kick that never came his way. A waster and bludger of the first order right now.

J Bolton was just about at his all-time worst tonight. Besides perhaps one good and a couple of average games, he has been very poor this year.

His kicking for goal is abysmal. Has been for a while now. We need some midfielders who can consistently chip in with a couple of goals each game.

As i said in another thread, he's slow, cannot find the pill against good sides yet can't play a defensive role, and has an appalling kick in general play and set shots (somehthing like 2.7 at set shots this year). No value atm.

                  MIA.

Have been a fan, but seems a bit of a liability this year. In previous years he's started the first half of the season burning bright and fizzled towards the end. I'm hoping he's decided to go the other way this year and is about to turn it around for the run to the GF...because we know he won't be spending any time in the twos.

                    Maybe Jude is trade bait

Offer him and a second round draft pick to secure Fevola Calton do need an in and under type midfielder they lack toughness in the centre

Coleman Medallist for Jude Bolton....unlikely, but we could try.

Bit of a B.Mathews IMO. Good enough on his day, too much of a clubman to trade.

                        Never been a Bolton fan.
He's been ok most of the time, poor often and a star on a few occasions.
Also, he looked at me really weird at the swans functin at the aquarium a few years ago - like he knew me or something. He was 'eyeballing me' and that's enough to kick him off the team

Don't know what he's worth as a trade, probably missed the boat at the end of 06.

Suppose I like my midfielders to be guns.
The Eagles are hogging all the good ones.
Probably the biggest hole in our side is the midfield.

These things tend to go in cycles anyway.
Remember trading Lucuria because we couldn't find room for him in the midfield?
Couple of years later, Cressa was gone, Schwass was gone and Kelly was gone.

Thought Schneider was pretty good last night, and Davis continues to show glimmers of hope.
O'Keefe was playing where he should be playing - clearly moving him into the middle of the ground is covering holes.
Seems we are still very potent in the forward line and can move players away from there.

In fact, I don't understand lal the talk of picking up another forward.
With the likes of Hall, O'Keefe, O'Loughlin, a couple of crumbers and the likes of Goodes, Spida and Doyle and..... um...... Leo moving up, I'd have to say that we need a couple of gun midfielders, and a tall established full back.
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.

Bang on - whilst he never gets the best and fairest - he is always the front runner for best clubman and has won it the last couple of years. Dont forget, he's in the leadership group as well, which ironically most in that said group haven't had the best of seasons. So if they can't lead from the front, what are the rest too do?

Easy to be good against weak sides. Always struggles against classy fast running midfielders. Poor disposal for a supposed topliner lets him dowm most weeks. At best a hard at it in and under player. Not much else to his skillset. In the Ablett mould who is a better kick. Worth trading if the right player came along.
