    Where is Doyle???

I get the feeling Jolly's heart is no longer in Sydney as he doesn't seem to put in the effort anymore. I guess he has his medal so now he wants to go back to Melb. Where is Doyle at? Haven't seen him in the reserves of late.

Not listed in the team that played the Wildcats according to the Swans website. 'Though they only listed 19 players (16 Swans-listed), so he might have been missed. Not on injury list either.

I fear for the future of the Donk. But I don't think we can or should cut him loose. Adelaide, to pick an example, have 6 ruckmen on their list, one of whom is a first-year development player (a la Currie Pt 2), and the other 5 of whom are at varying stages of their development, but all are able to step up and play AFL if needed. They might have one too many, but you get the idea.

We have to expect and plan for some level of injuries. There seem to be serious doubts over whether Earl Shaw (even if promoted) is ready to play immediately. If Donk were delisted, we would definitely require a mature ruckman immediately able to play firsts. And how many of them are there, just floating around? The non-Sydney recycled ruckmen picked up this year (Matt Clarke at St Kilda, and Michael Gardiner at... St Kilda) haven't fared so well, and they tend to be getting close to the retirement age, whereas Donk has quite a few years in him. If he can get and stay on the park.

Spida did nothing, and Jolly was worse. I doubt Donk would have gone any better though as Cox tore them up tonight.

        How long is Everitt here?

        One year - two years.

He'll be in the seniors soon enough.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Anyone know if Everitt picked up an injury last night? He appeared to be limping when he came off in the third quarter and as far as I could see he didn't play much part in the last quarter.

I find it hard to reconcile that statement with the Jolly I've watched most of this year. He didn't have a good game yesterday - no arguments there - but was more effective than Everitt. Overall he's been far more potent around the ground than last season and seems to have regained a spring in his step. Indeed, given that our forward line hasn't worked nearly as well as last year and Kirk aside, all our midfielders have had pretty mediocre years, the significant improvement in the ruck division is the number one reason why we're still hanging on in there.
