Stagger the draw so they play in the same city at the same time, so the coaching staff can do both games.
That, is the best solution to the current quagmire of reserve games i have seen to date....

Despite our great win last night i still think that we a new spark into the team
If we can experiment next week we might solve a few running type players who are not 100% contributing at the moment. Laidlaw Brabazon etc.
      cheers

I watched the seconds closely on Saturday and it seemed to me that a few of our blokes are just going throught the paces and not exering themselves fully. Can't say I blame them.Maybe they are holding back to let the lesser lights get more involved in the game. Can't say I blame them.

But, the one area it doesnt do us any favours is with defenders. We have to play most of our defenders (LRT, Grundy, etc) as forwards in the 2's, because they'd never see the ball if they played down back.

Wouldn't two sides just double the costs involved for Sydney, and for what noticeable benefit? except when the two Sydney sides meet up in what essentially would be a intra club trial.

We'll by diluting the talent in the reserves, it should allow the canberra clubs to match up better. Their top 10 players can play on the "swans", and their next 10 "should" be better than our "top up" players.

The costs wouldnt be much greater. Just a bus ticket for more "top ups". every 2nd week.

Actually it would be an extra bus ticket every week as one side would be away every week. Plus the extra costs of uniforms etc. And I'm not sure whether you could find enough top-up players, especially if injuries hit.

Its not a bad suggestion but I think the fact the Swans have emphasised that playing as an unit as one of the major pluses of playing in Canberra rather than being a VFL affiliate will make this move unlikely.
