    Craig Bolton

Now there is a player who gets very few accolades but plays his heart out week in week out. Considering the height difference between he and McGilla Richardson, he was awesome to watch, he is the quiet achiever - deserves more praise than he gets.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Yep he was awesome again and last week when moved onto Lynch

Wish we had two of him sometimes then he could have shut down Brown as well - plus in a few weeks against the Saints he could take Fraser and Nick

Just about our most valuable key defender now. He'll need to play out of his skin to stop Reiwoldt in his current form though.

The Leo-Gehrig match-up though is the one that unnerves me more than any other throughout the season, although the upcoming Jono Brown one will be another.

IMHO he still slips under the radar when it comes to getting a mention, but its pretty clear that his value is recognised by those in the know - AA selection and B&F finishes attest to that.

Absolute star. If he played for Collingwood or Essendon everyone would rave about him.

Sure, Hall is important, Goodes is important, we wouldn't want to be without Jolly or Everitt when it matters (and certainly not both). The importance of Kennelly's dash has been much discussed and Kirk holds together a flabby midfield with aplomb.

But I shudder to think what our defence would be like if we lost Bolton, even for a game or two. It's probably the greatest vulnerability the team has. Thankfully he has proved to be as durable as the rest of the Bloods since his arrival at the club.

              I agree.

There was discussion in regards to marks being an indication of performance, but I would love to see Boltons stats for spoils.

He not just a stopper either, he can be handy running the other way.

I think Leo's value is probably overstated a little, although his form this year is much better than last, but Bolton is seriously underrated. I read an article that would have happily given boltons AA spot to Dale Morris last year.

Every week I say great game by C Bolton - I was thinking about just putting up a sticky!

He definitely wore Richo like a glove. Reminded me a bit of SOS on Saturday night perhaps he picked up a few tips when he was training LRT.

                    Agree 100%

Just amazing how he seems to show up in the right spot so often to save the day. I commented how great I thought he played in the loss vs WCE. Easy to miss in a losing effort when too many goals are kicked against you.

Bolton allows us to get away with such a lack of height in defence, something not often appreciated.

Ranks 3rd at the club for best players this season.

                        1/Melcho
                        2/Captain
