    Our path to top 2..

The following needs to occur for the swans to finish 2nd.

    1. Sydney must win every game remaining.
    Saints (h), Lions(a), Pies(a), Hawks(h)

    2. Freo must beat WC today and WC needs to lose one more game. They have away games against Kangaroos and Saints.

    3. Port must lose atleast one game. They have away games to Geelong and Hawthorn.

    4. Kangaroos must lose 2 more games. With an away game to Geelong still to come and WC next week.

Top 2 is not out of the question at all

Ah ofcourse. In that case WC and Geelong need to beat roos. Saints to beat West Coast and Geelong to beat Port.

They are probably the most likely results. Saying all that though we have to win all our remaining games first.

        No the Roos are there.

Of course it all depends on Sydney winning 4 in a row.

If we lose next week we'll be out of the 8 so it's all too premature at the moment but I agree, the possibilities are tempting to think about.

Lions is now a far tougher task than what it looked like 6 weeks ago.
Once we're in the finals - we'd probably be the last team everyone else wants to play.
I'd be ecstatic with winning three of the next four and finishing in the top four.

Not a chance. Mathmatically possible, but that's about it.

Not quite, SP has taken into account 4 wins in a row, which also includes a victory over Hawthorn that will see us over take them on the ladder. The only thing that would not let that happen is if Hawthorn had a higher %

Having typed all that, top 2 is a dream..let alone top 4.

If Freo win tonight, and they are 11 points up at 3/4 time, then 3 wins out of 4 might be enough, and wining 3 of our next 4 games is what you'd expect of a top 4 side.

                  Heave ho!

We WILL make top 4 if we win all of our remaining games....

Hawks & Pies sit one game clear of us. Us winning all of ours puts us equal with them, and a greater percentage...

That makes us one game behind WCE & Port..... Port play Cats (A) and Hawks (A), They drop one of them, and we' leap frog them into 4th.

WCE have away games against Saints and Kangas. They drop one of them, and we leap frog them as well into 3rd.

But fact remnains, we still have to win all of ours with tough away games against Brisbane & Collingwood (Though I think we can do the Pies). We should beat Hawks and Saints at home if we think we're going to be anything more than making up the numbers in the finals.

                      Agree with that.

If we are contenders, which the club clearly believes they are, then the cards have fallen in a way that we will be top 4 and get an excellent shot at the flag.

We should be aiming to be on an uber-run of form by winning our next 5 games in a row then earn a week off and host a PF.

I reckon they can do it.
