Does anyone know if an RWO report is being done on last Saturday's game?
By the time we're ready to admit we've reached middle age, we're beyond it

    Haven't heard from ORB, yet.

But if any one saw the game and wants to pen their thoughts about it, let either myself or liz know.

I could not spare two days away from the domestics (ressies played in Canberra Saturday), so sorry, nothing from me this week.

        Allow me ...

        It was a tops day.

After arriving into Canberra with only minutes to spare (next time, we're not spending an hour in Goulburn - bloody Dimmeys), I found the BEST parking spot (directly outside the gates) and waltzed into our seats in true Sydney style (a few minutes late). I've never done that before!!

The sun was shining (which is always a good thing for Canberra), and I was sitting right near the interchange bench in the second row from the boundary.
As the players came off and "warmed down" (walking in front of me), I kindly (yet very audibly) offered words of encouragement and support to each player.

I told Goodsey I loved him. I know he heard me, but he couldn't do anything about it because the whole world now knows that he's going out with a blonde trophy (albeit a brainy one). I live in hope.

I told Micky that he was a living legend and that I'd like to see him do 300 with us. He smiled and waved. I'm thinking of dropping Goodsey and stalking Magic. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

I mentioned to the captains a few times that our percentage needed lifting and if they didn't mind, could they perhaps pass that message onto the others on the field and pull their fingers out a bit more.

The families in front of us were fabulous. By the end of the game, the kids were helping me with my "words of encouragement". My friend noticed a tupperware container of bickies under their seat and asked if he could have one ('cause they looked home-made). My friend has no shame. I was offered a bickie, but turned it down (as I can't each much baked goods any more). The lady insisted that I take one as she had made them from scratch ("I measured flour and actually cracked an egg to make them", she said). How could I let her down. I ate half, and gave the other half to my mate.

Making phone calls around the ground, I was pleasantly surprised to see Reigning Premier sitting right behind us one bay over. I had the good fortune and pleasure to finally meet GoSwannies14 and Big Al, and OldRoyBoy spotted me from the stands and came down to say hello. It's always noice to put a face to a name.

The only damper on the day, was the line up for coffee. My poor friend missed a whole quarter while lined up. He's not happy Jan. He should be like me and not drink the stuff.

Oh yeah ... we won the footy.

        Tops day.

As for the ressies ... no idea, they played the day before. I would envisage that they beat their opposition by over 200 points.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
