One of our best looking teams we have been able to out together this year.

Providing there all fit and not rushed back in because there is nobody eles.

Agree about LRT he should be jumping out of his skin to get back and no better test than the Aints forward line.

Our best balanced team for the year without a doubt.

Could only see a fit Crouch, Schmidt and Dempster coming into that side for either of Bevan, McVeigh and Richards. But outside of Crouch that would only be form permitting.

Courtesy of Big Footy Saints board, here are the results since the start of 2001:

Year Rd Team Score Opponent Score Gnd Result Marg
            2007 7 St Kilda 15. 7 (97) vs Sydney 11. 5 (71) TD St Kilda WON 26
            2006 11 St Kilda 7.10 (52) vs Sydney 7. 8 (50) SCG St Kilda WON 2
            2005 1PF St Kilda 9.11 (65) vs Sydney 15. 6 (96) MCG Sydney WON 31
            2005 10 St Kilda 15.11 (101) vs Sydney 8.10 (58) TD St Kilda WON 43
            2004 1SF St Kilda 16.11 (107) vs Sydney 8. 8 (56) MCG St Kilda WON 51
            2004 11 St Kilda 11.10 (76) vs Sydney 17.10 (112) SCG Sydney WON 36
            2003 15 St Kilda 9. 7 (61) vs Sydney 15.22 (112) SCG Sydney WON 51
            2002 20 St Kilda 12. 8 (80) vs Sydney 12.15 (87) SCG Sydney WON 7
            2002 5 St Kilda 8. 8 (56) vs Sydney 8. 8 (56) TD Drawn
            2001 21 St Kilda 8. 7 (55) vs Sydney 21.16 (142) SCG Sydney WON 87
            2001 6 St Kilda 18.12 (120) vs Sydney 14.10 (94) TD St Kilda WON 26

What is interesting with those results is from round 15 and including finals we are 4 and 1.

If you look at results before round 15, we are 1 and 4.

Just goes to show how we build during the year and hopefully points to the fact that often we are beaten by the Saints but are then able to turn it around later in the year when our form is better.

                You can't fault his effort.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

And the effort he puts into his faults is also outstanding

I'm really annoyed that Richards is yet to miss a game this season.

                            That last quarter was SPECIAL!!

I only decided to go that match at lunch time on the day of the game. Within 2 hours, I had got a ticket (back row of Southern Stand), got a flight and was at the airport after leaving work early...it was all worth it!!

Hell yeah, probably the one quarter I've watched more than any other from any afl game, enough to bring a tear to your eye, and I quote:

"Schnieder again.....2 from 2....puts the swans in front"

                              "Lady luck is smiling"

                              "Its...........bullseye"

                              "They can do no wrong"

"Leo takes on Gherig.....and beats him.....and beats him in style"

"We are watching will prevail over logic"

                              "Oh what a night"

"They have absolutely smashed the saints out of the centre this quarter"

"Tadgh was just winding us up"

"And the man who started it all......the schniederman.....kicks his third for the quarter...and they are into the grand final"
Looking out for good omens which can bring the Swans the 2007 premiership
