Being based in Melbourne, I love the "cute little" stadium that is The SCG. People talk of it not being "The right shape or size" for AFL, but i dare you to show me any 2 grounds that share the same dimensions. That is the beauty of this sport, their is such a thing as "home" field advantage, as opposed to other sports that MUST have the same dimensions, ie soccer, basketball, hockey etc
The only home field advantage that is offered in other sports is the home crowd and occasionaly the weather conditions. And anyone on here that says they are a Swans supporter but would follow a new Western suburbs team should just go and get ...................... i follow the jumper, and the men that wear that jumper, not the stadium they play at! Should i have followed St Kilda because they were the closest to me when South moved? Or should i be following Hawthorn because their training ground is closest to me now???????

It's not about the same size or shape - it's about it being too short and wide.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I was at home at Newtown within an hour of the game finishing. Caught the second train to arrive, got a seat no problems changed at Strathfield to a stopping all stations train to Newtown. I don't know what your problem with leaving the place is. I had no problems and I'm a tourist up here.

I live in Stanmore and I drove to Telstra. I parked at work which is right next to the stadium. It took me 25 minutes to get there and about 45 to get back home. I like the SCG as well and I'm very happy with the current arrangement
