No he didn't. He tried to but got tackled comprehensively. Cost us the game.

      agree about Bevan

How could anyone suggest he was alright. If he doesnt get dropped the selectors are not fairdincum. He does too many bad things, his decisions are poor and he takes too long to get rid of the pill. Most of us have been complaining all year about him.

Thought Barlow was pretty good first up but he and Schmidt just seemed towards the end to feel the presure, and a couple of times went to ground when they needed to keep their feet.

Now Brennan, he certainly showed a lot of guts tonight and did a number of good things although was a bit hasty at times that caused the odd turnover. I would say he and Barlow are absolute certainties to be elevated. Brennan is certainly not frightened to put his body on the line both in play and marking contests.

Thought Roos could have put Davis on the ball in the last 10 minutes just to steady things down with some quality possession that he has done before.

I reckon our midfield pressure was pretty good but their disposal really did leave a lot to be desired. Fozzie really stood up in the last Q. Buchanan was just average, J Bolton was better, Schmidt was so so and just needs 10% more of something to go to the next level. Luke Ablett, well unless he did a wonderful tagging job on someone I couldn't quite pick (and I stand corrected on this) then what in the hell was he doing out there. If he is tagging and doing a good job then when he gets it is there a chance his brain and body might move with a modicum of speed.

He might have beaten him but you just dont make those stupid decisions. It was such a critical time of the game.

I can't believe people are blaming Bevan so vehemently for on friggen mistake. I think you should all look at Malcheski seemed very inept at times tonight

The stupidity of trying to run the clock down with 3 minutes to go and kicking backwards and sideways across the backline was always doomed for failure. One errant kick - ala a too hard chance for Jolly on the wing - and the game was up for grabs. Why didn't they get it into the forward line as deep as possible? If its way down there its hard to get it out again. Who knows they may have jagged a winning point. Chipping it around won't get that. Simply stupid football. Utterly frustrating to watch.

Mate the point is he only had to kick long down the line if he had noone to go to. He just didn't need to try to bulk around. He doesn't have the agility even if we are 20 goals in front.

The one positive is the debut of Barlow. 17 possessions, I didn't see the game but I hope he was useful.

Just to make it more bizarre, we managed to draw both halves.

And you just got the feeling during that last couple of minutes of play that it would all come unstuck. I don't mind the kick-to-kick when classy players are involved, but not Bevan.

Correct and that is why he should have been put into the thick of it in the last 10 minutes.

Actually Margie I reckon that is one thing Bevan does OK.

I know. It was one bad mistake. but ffs everyone here is lambasting him from pillar to post. He had an ok game. Certainly wasn't the only reason why we lost
