I thought for a first gamer Barlow was excellent, kicked well did some good stuff under pressure and was hard at the ball- looked very impressive to me. Want to see more of him. He did I feel find it tough in the last bit of the game, but it wasnt down to him that we lost that game that is for sure. Particulary encouraging debut."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

If it was another player I would have been bagging the crap out of him too.Comment

we shut up shop just a fraction too early. This is why we lost. Needed to have one last forward thrust and play it out from there. Just too soon to lock it down in my opinion. I thought it was a great game with both teams playing fantastic, hard, contested footy. Our goal kicking let us down. I'd say a few of those were from the pressure applied by the opposition, but there were also some easy chances that were frittered away.Comment

Well bag the crap out of kirk then to give away the free on power in the dieing seconds, allowing him to play advantage, resulting in brown's last goal. It was a free given for holding the jumper and advantage paid. I'm not a bevan lover, it's just how I saw those dieing seconds. And I love kirky, but he got found out in that one piece of playComment

Yeah just going on that...
I think if we can get a home final, we can still go VERY deep into September. How deep... well that is up to the players I guess. I'm still thinking PF at worst. Of course it would be easier for me to say "No chance" as many on here would, but I'm going to stick my neck out and say PF at worst. It's so much easier to believe the worst. If the worst happens, you can say "I told you so" and if something better happens you can relish the outcome. It's a win/win situation if you back your team to lose.Last edited by Mr_Juicy; 18 August 2007, 10:38 PM.Comment

it would have been the right ploy kicking backwards etc if we used it to create space on the other side of the field to run into or something.... but we just kicked it around and didnt try to advance it which was suicide!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

It was working okay until Jolly dropped Goodes's kick down the wing. Pretty symbolic of some of the messed up possessions of the night.Comment
