it's time to go...... PAUL BEVAN

Why have we persisted with this bloke for so long with bloke like Ed barlow running around in the Mgoo's.......

I the Bevan should head back to Canberra next weekend to work on his Side stepping ability..

I would like to know who at the swans thinks he has something to offer.

too night he gave brennan a free kick in the goal square when the ball was 80m away. Turned the ball from a free kick which led to a Brisbane goal (expensive as it turns out)

I know we shouldn't blam anybody for a loss but there is 12 points brisbane shoudn't have got. 12 points which may costs the team a chance at top 4.

IMO Bevan brings little to the side. He will never win sydney a game with brilance but he has show this season he can certainly lose one for us.

Trade him to anybody who will have him. A Schooner and pie should be about the going rate.

Bevo fails the no dickhead rule. Too much attitude, too much smirking. Too little skill.

I'm going to make myself unpopular and stick up for Bevan here. Yes, he didn't have a particularly good game and he gave away a very costly free kick. But I like him. And IMO he's not a bad defender, certainly better that Dempster.

If we're going to make him scapegoat for tonight's draw let's at least be fair and acknowledge that he had some mates. Malceski did nothing, Brennan was poor on the whole, Hall and Schneider wasted far too many opportunities, Davis was nowhere to be seen and Jolly and Everitt should've done far better.

Bevan played an amazing game. He shut down one of Brisbane prime forwards, while giving away about 10cm. Top game. Of course, giving away that much height, he's going to cop a few free-against. Give him a break.
He has really stepped up over the last 3 weeks.

Totally agree, although 'amazing' may be overstating it.

But you're wasting your time, there are just too many closed minds on RWO.

I think people are being a bit unfair on Brennan, he was filling the hole at centre half back a hell of a lot and putting his body on the line. He worked very hard in that role in the last Q in particular. I think he is here to stay but needs to be less hasty in his set disposal.

Of course he has been persisted with too long, but he has finally shown something with that persistence in the last few weeks.... even tonight. But that one glaring mistake and he's jumped on. It was a shocker I know, but his link up work all night was great. I can't believe I'm starting to think like Connolly.

Seriously should have been dropped months ago, but now is not the time unless we see a player like the "cheese" make way for him. But then again, I guess it all comes down to team structure and who you are playing and who in your team can do what.

Sounds like your one of them BBB.
Beven has great endeavour, great courage, and that's where it ends.
He either kicks it backwards or bombs it long. His decision making is terrible.
Perhaps you should open your mind to the fact he's not up to it.

Sounds exactly like the description Nico gave of Brennan
Now I'm not saying I don't like Brennan or Bevan (or Nico). I think that the team needs to seriously consider it's options of which one to drop based on the opposition we play and the abilities of the aforementioned players. Both are very different players but neither really fits into the team to warrant weekly selection. It all depends on whom we play

They didn't show the so-called free kick to Brennan on Foxtel.
Suggests to me it was another bull@@@@ decision.

As for the game, two points were lost through terrible kicking for goal in an otherwise absorbing game. No more no less.
Bevan was very good on Brennan, C Bolton was terrific on Brown for three quarters, Brennan and Barlow I thought had great games, and I also like the game of another much maligned player on RWO, J. Bolton.

Adam Goodes got 28 possessions and probably missed 15 targets, Malceski got 21 but was terrible IMO, and Jolly and Everitt, while handy, failed to dominate Leuenberger.
Magic didn't score, Hall took some great marks but couldn't kick.
One missed kick the difference between third and seventh.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Brennan has a lot more upside to his game than Bevan.

There is no doubt thought that Bevan will retain his spot.
