Not surprising, would be interested to see who was the last player to get a nomination on debut.

Marc Murphy I am pretty sure was the last (Rnd 1 2006). A lot seem to get the nomination in their 2nd game (Hawkins and the Irishman Clarke are examples this year)

Not uncommon for round 1 games - understandably.

Most recent non-first round debutant I can recall was Dean Polo midway through last season.

And Polo had 28 poss, 3 goals! Bit of a difference.

It would be hazardous to give a nomination to players after one game.

          LeCras has been outstanding.

Andrew Walker is also (in?)famous for getting it after his first game.

Didn't goodsey get a nomination after his first game?
(If not, it wouldn't have been too many games after that.)
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

The ultimate achievement on debut must go to Spider Everitt. Not only did he obtain a nomination on debut, he was the VERY first ever Rising Star Nominee, back in Round one 1993, (nearly 15 years ago!)
