Good to see Dempster as our best player.

Still not as big a thrashing as Devonport versus East Devonport.

We will need to call on a few of these blokes next week with Brennan and Amon gone.

Looks like Dempster has hit form at the right time. Moore and Thornton could also be chances this week.

You'd expect Dempster and LRT to get a run next week.

I wonder where Moore is at given he can't crack a seniors spot any more, but does well in the reserves.

And what about Simpkin and Thornton?

Fair dinkum on the performance of the midfield tonight you must give Moore a go.

Dempster should have played tonight before Crouch. For mine Crouch only played to get up 200 games. He was laughable.

Dempster and LRT should both have played. Sick of Roos' reluctance to pick players on from as opposed to reputation. We are going backwards at a rapid pace and no planning for the future is happening. How can players develop if they never get a chance and the same old hacks play week in week out!

Happens all the time. Team drops off 10% and and coaches go from gung ho about the team to self survival mode. Eade coached for himself in the last 2 years of his tenure. We are at this point now, I just hope that come seasons end that a genuine analysis is made of some of our past heroes as to their worth to the club and all brownie points have expired.

Roos said of LRT very early in the season that LRT had taken a lot longer to get over his foot injury and alluded to a lack of desire on LRT's part to speed the recovery. LRT is merely paying the penalty of a coach in denial of the fact that LRT played all the finals with a serious foot injury that proved in the GF that it was a waste of time him being out there.

Dempster, well at least he can kick the footy and has enough pace to break the lines. Malceski was dragged back to the goal square and tagged all game and spent the second Q on the forward line which meant we had little or no run from the backline.

Again makes a mockery of Crouch's selection. From the first contest it was obvious Crouch is way off the pace. At one point Crouch was contesting on the wing (sorry strolling on the wing) while Thomas calmly ran to CHF to take a mark. Crouch had no idea where his man was.

A tough solid body, with good hands would have been most useful last nite in the centre.

Moore played 25 minutes in his last appearance in round 7, he was dropped the following week.

How can he prove himself in 25 minutes?

I think people have been a bit harsh on Brennan. A couple of those kicks from the centre bounces went straight on Ruslings chest. The best backman in world would not have stopped those. Just shows how little pressure we put on at centre bounces. We actually block at centre bounces instead of going for the footy. There is something fundamentally wrong with that strategy but I cant quite put my finger on it.

It looks to me that Brennan is being groomed as our next full back. A reasonable height, has speed and is prepared to back himself and run off. He has only played 15 games of AFL and was a top 10 draft pick. He looks and plays like he knows he belongs out there.

Agree, Brennan seems to show enough to suggest he will be serviceable for us with more experience. Seems too small for a key post though.

Brennan's too small to be FB, but I think he could be serviceable BP.

The thing I like about Brennan is he knows how to spoil without giving away a free kick.
