    Finals Predictions

Ok, enough soul-searching...so what do people think will happen in the finals? Here are my not-so-fearless predictions:

    1. West Coast will not win the flag, and may not even make the GF
    2. A Victorian team will win the premiership
3 One of the top 4 will go out in straight sets
    4. Either the 7th- or 8th-placed side (but not both) will win in the first week of the finals
    5. One of the top 4 will lose a home prelim after having the week off

I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

I can't come up with a realistic scenario I like. So I'm just hoping that if we don't win then Geelong does. I don't want to think of other alternatives.

          That's exactly how I feel.

I will say, however, that if West Coast do finish 2nd (they are only 0.4 of a percent behind Port) then I think they'll be in the Granny again.

With the Eagles playing the Dons and Port up against Freo you'd have to favour Judd and co.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

St Kilda to make the finals, only to lose in the first week
            MCG to host five finals
Michael O'Loughlin to become the new finals record holder for the Swans
Swans to be eliminated in the semis
Geelong to defeat West Coast in the prelim
Port to defeat Collingwood in the other prelim
Geelong to defeat Port in the Grand Final by 40 points

I think a Victorian side will win the flag, either that or a non-Victorian side.
Two teams will be eliminated in the first week
Two teams will lose, but they won't be eliminated in the first week
I think I will be pretty wasted by the time of the final siren if the Swans aren't playing, probably even if they are.
The Grand Final will be played on the last weekend in September
There will be calls for Roos to stand down if we don't win the flag.
Someone will suggest that O'Loughlin needs to retire.
Matthews wil have a blindingly good finals series, and carry the team o their second flag in 3 years.

One of those is not as likely as the others to occur, can you pick which one?

Yep - if we win we play the loser of 2 vs 3.

If today simply wasn't a one off helped by an inept and overrated opposition, then I think we will go onto a bit of a roll and cause some damage.

But I agree with Nick - if we can't win it, give me a Geelong premiership.
