Crouch far from gone this year.

The Swans media machine wants you to know:

?Given we'll be seventh or eighth we will be on the road a lot. So it's a great challenge and challenges are what our team loves," [Crouch] said on Tuesday.

?I guess finals football is what we love to play.?

Crouch finally clicked over to 200 AFL games last weekend against Collingwood in Melbourne. Despite the reversal, the nuggety Swan enjoyed the outing.

?It was great to be back, out there at the MCG in front of over 60,000 fans," he said.

?I was a bit nervous in the lead up but once you run out there, I felt very comfortable. It was great to be back playing with mates.

?It was good to get through it and the body is in one piece and looking forward to playing a few more games this year.?

Realistically, he has only two more games to play this year. What's that? tell him he's dreaming.........

He sounds pretty upbeat and confident, not someone who is on the verge of getting dropped or worried about his spot in the team. Premiership credits buys him back into the team at the expense of Schmidt et al.

That's right Captain he was,but it's the business end of 2007 and IMO he is finished and he is a shadow of his former self.Thats all we need is another passenger.

Thanks for the smart arse response. The relevance is he is worth persevering with considering he is only one game back from a long term injury, there were plenty of passengers on Sat night and he has previous history of playing well in finals.

People here have short memories, his previous game before Sat night was a ripper and he absolutely flogged Aka. One bad game and he is written off??

Even then it wasn't that bad...Didak didn't set the world on fire.

Im not being a smart arse. There other players who have been stuck in the two for an eternity who need to be brought into the side to give some run and carry. Crouch used to offer this, he just doesnt have it any more. Sure he can tag, but I think we have enough taggers. I don't think he should be delisted, but I dont think he should get a game before Schmidt etc.

I'm bored of hearing about him flogging Aka, it is brought up everytime Crouch is questioned. Thats ONE player in the AFL he has the wood on. It's a psychological thing. Thats great and all, it is funny to watch, but at the same time with 15 opposing teams and 22 players per team - he needs to do more than just flog Aka.

No, but when he was on Thomas, the first/second year p[layer gave him a flogging.
