Thought he had an oustanding game considering it was his first for the season. Made our backline looked more settled and dare I say it, his disposal looked better today!

Our defence looks far better now that LRT,LEO and DEMPSTER are in there i just cant wait for TIGER to get back.BTW LRT was very good but so was the rest of our defence.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Agreed...his early touches were fantastic. I fully expected LRT to be nervous and his clanger count to be healthy. I reckon he and Leo's performance up back gives us real hope against the Pies.

I thought he was pretty solid. Didn't look too much out of place.

Defensively was good, but I thought he cost us with a few turnovers? (along with Leo's propensity to crash through tacklers) I'll be checking the tape closely.

I thought he was solid. a couple of good kicks and handballs and did not look nervous. With LRT back it make a big difference next week against the pies.

Played suprisingly well IMHO given his time away from Senior football.

On dempster, from what I saw he also looked good. Seems to miss a few targets this year, but usually has the cool composure of a quality backman that leaves a reasuring feeling when the ball is headed his way. Another handy inclusion.

Our backline no matter how manfully they have played the last few weeks looked decidely more rock solid with Barry, Dempster and LRT back in the team. It just seems that the combination clicks when together.

LRT played great for his first match back.

Defensively was good, but I thought he cost us with a few turnovers? (along with Leo's propensity to crash through tacklers) I'll be checking the tape closely.
I was talking about that with someone on the ground, that almost half of the Hawks goals came from free kicks and the majority of the others came from Leo mistakes. LRT did some turnovers but I think only one led to a goal. He definitely gave us the taller option at the back with Spida (when he was floating back).

LRT did well above what I expected and he did make the defence look solid.

Clanger kid would have to have been C. Bolton today.

was great to see lrt back today, some much needed height at the back ,and the defence had a far better look and structure to it. i also thought a more than useful return. good to have you back lewie, now onward to the finals and to another 4 onward to victories.

I thought he just about picked up where he left off - before his injury last year I mean. A big presence, usually in the right place, not afraid to use his size, in fact a touch of mongrel on occasion, and generally very good delivery. He and Leo definitely made the back six look even more formidable.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
