    Sydney vs Adelaide...???

While the footballing world is currently so full of possibilities, let me ask this - Is a Sydney - Adelaide GF outside the realms of possibility?

Both teams seem to be running into form at the right time - both are good teams, with the Crows beating all except Geelong in the top 8 (Port twice) if they were to meet it would be at the end.

Would this make a mockery of the finals system?

    Improbable, yes.... Impossible....???
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Funny... I was going to post on exactly this topic!

A Crows-Swans grand final is paying $67 on Sportingbet - considering some other options are 201-1 even the bookies are being a bit cautious about it considering it is 7&8 we're talking about.

If both teams win this week - and win well - then the improbable becomes more possible.

Rarely have the 7 & 8 teams been so well credentialed heading into the finals - both top 4 sides from the last two seasons.

Well I'd be putting my money on a Cats v. Port final.

According to the current front page of the Swans' website, Sydney playing West Coast this Saturday night is not outside the realms of possibility.

And I'm really looking forward to seeing Spida Everitt in his first match in the red and white for premiership points, too.

PS $67.00 is outstandingly short odds for a 7 v 8 grand final. The bookies are already onto you with this one; have to find some other way to work a quid in September.

I'm confused. Firstly, what were the last 22 weeks about? And secondly, there are no points on offer this weekend...

So we've been playing for peanuts until now?

As much as a 7v8 GF would make me laugh till my bowels fell out, I can't see it happening. Although I concede it's not beyond possible.

After the Swans my favourite for the flag is Port. They're looming and I seriously think the Cats are on the brink of a major collapse

If you look at the article he posted - it was dated 30th of March 2007 (just prior to round 1 against the Eagles). I could be wrong, but I think he was being sarcastic.

$67 is a disgraceful price. Anyone taking that, would not be an astute punter in my opinion.

Sarcasm based on the out of date Swans site!

They fixed up the @@@@-up (which was a front-page link to 'match preview: Sydney v West Coast') shortly after I posted the link. Sorry for all the confusion.
