On the contrary, I think Malceski is a very very long shot to make the team. But to even get into the top 40 so early in his career is an achievement in itself.

Kirk's in with more than a decent chance, though he lacks the flash factor of many others.

Bolton will be fighting it out with the likes of Egan for a third tall defensive (as opposed to rebounding) role. That's assuming Glass and Scarlett are near certainties. And while stats only tell half the picture, those of his posted over on BF compared to Egan's in terms of rebounds from 50, entries into forward 50 and total disposals stack up pretty well. Both have taken a key opposition forward every week as well, in contrast to the likes of Sam Fisher (and our own Malceski) who tend to have far lighter defensive responsibilities.

Cats fans seem to think Egan is a shoe-in. But we'll see. He's certainly been very good, but has had the luxury of playing alongside Harley and Scarlett, and behind the most dominant midfield in the comp.

A great example of why a Collingwood fan shouldn't think, or should i say TRY to think.

What you expect when Gerard Healy is a selector he hates Collingwood with a passion. How does that dud Craig Bolton make it is beyond me.

            Wobbly feral.

Good on them - I hope they all make it. 'Specially Melcho - would be good for him so early in his career.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Kirk and Bolton will make it...Eski maybe next year. Nobody ever became AA for one seasons good work. Kirk is a prime example.

Kirk has had an extremely consistant and high quality year. He has been leading some B&F competitions across the league. Will be the best polled Swan in the Brownlow, and is not without a chance, considering his propensity to poll well.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Would Kirk be a chance of Captain/Co-captain?

I honestly don't know why people regard it so highly. It's just a team picked by a group of people who have an opinion like the rest of us. They all have their favourites.

                      Overrated in my opinion.

How about the Brownlow, the Norm Smith or the Federal election?

Point taken. But this is picked by people mainly in the media (correct me if I'm wrong)

They all have some allegiance to one club or another. I just don't understand why it's seen as such a significant honour.

I think it's a panel of former players, some of whom are in the media (e.g. Gerard Healy). Either way I think they're better judges than the umpires.

It's an honour to be chosen to play for your country in any sport ... it's what most little kids dream of.

More's the pity that the only thing that comes close to our only world "opposition" is gaelic football.
