Besides Stella's obvious and unnatural man-love for Davo, he's not particularly lauded here. Rather he is constantly criticised and that provokes a response. The responses typically aren't that he's a genius, but rather he's doing a reasonable job.

I would be happy if Davis gave us 40-45 goals in a full season, ie about 2 goals a game. he's pretty close to that so I'm not overly disappointed with his season.

err i expect Nick to kick 45 goals a year minimum. Thus far he only gives us 20s. Hardly the stuff of legends.

Nicks got himself a couple of fanbois ever since he was dropped last year.

Actually it started with AnnieH's reference to KFC and showpony and your reference to a puff player who does nothing, Diego.

The responses have been to say that he has been playing quite well this year, pointing out the fact that he is averaging the second most goals for the team.

I just don't like to be criticised (personally) for criticising.

I reckon it's ok to like some players and not like other players - why can't others think like that as well?

No one did but the small group who love the guy treat him like one! And its frustrating! I don't hate Nick Davis and think he is a good player but he has frustrated me more times lately than given me joy!
