Malceski to go wild when Mad Monday arrives.

    Mr Cleanskin
NICK Malceski swore off the demon drink this season because he didn't want it to affect his footy.

In another year of alcohol and drug-fuelled scandals across all football codes, it makes the dashing 22-year-old Swans halfback a poster boy for commonsense.

Malceski's self-control and determination to become the best player he can be is a lesson a lot of footballers would do well to learn.

"When Mum got remarried on January 18 I had a big weekend - after that I thought 'I'm going to try and not have a drink until the end of the footy season'," Malceski told The Daily Telegraph yesterday.

He played for Melbourne for a few years and won the Brownlow in 2000, went to Collingwood and became a hack, then delisted and no other team wanted him so now he's playing for East Fremantle.

Most people have forgotten about him anyway.

Malceski on the other hand, I'm sure he'll be remembered for a long time.

Let's hope that his mad Monday is on 1st October (in which case he'll probably still be hungover from the weekend's celebrations)
              Bring it on!

He doesn't drink??!! I've gone right off him. Soft as. Not a true footballer. Trade him now.
