    2008?

Where to next year? Rucks' looking like trouble, hardly impressed me all year as it is. Schmidt, Laidlaw, Moore in. The Cheese?

    Outs?

I'm for keeping Bevan. Heap scorn. McVeigh's had every chance and I've got my questions about B1. Crouch looks past it on tonight's form.

Gotta hope BBB gets back to All Australian form. Tadhg, soak that knee in Guinness all summer.

    Positives?

Goodes, Leftorium, Kirk, B2, LRT, ROK, King of Fried Chicken, Fosdike. Who else?

    Keepers?

    Dempster, Mathews?
I was wrong about Gerard and his hair.

Schmidt and Cheese have to be given a lot of game time next year, and it's time for Moore to replace Crouch. Trade McVeigh before everyone realises how @@@@ he is. B1 can go, Leo, and Buchs & Schneider would have to be 50/50 at best.

I will. And in spades. Have always said that Bevan has guts but zero talent. Tonight he was totally @@@@ing useless. Along with Spida and the maggots almost BOG for Collingwood.

All well and good to have guts. That will get you somewhere. But when you have no brains whatsoever, that's where all hope is lost. He really is the dumbest football in the league.

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

            Bevan - brave but dumb
            McVeigh - athletic but indecisive

Combine the two and you almost have one footballer.

Our premiership window is shut. Time to rebuild and next year is when we should start.

But Roosy needs to grow some balls first. He's more worried about being included in the next shout at the pub than team success.

We're definitely in the rebuilding phase, it would be great to have one like Port Adelaide's (one crap year, then top two) but with the competition the Reserves get every week, I'm not expecting a quick leap to the top.

                  Hmm true.

One of the main factors in Ports quick rise back to the top is the quality of the SANFL. It's the best development league in the country - Our ressies play in the worst development league in the country.

                    To retire Mathews , Crouch
Trade B1 ,looks like we may have to trade Jolly need to get some decent talent
Delist Doyle , Faulks, Moore, Bevan, Vogels, maybe Grundy,Simpkin, Brabazon
                    Elevate Barlow, Brennan, Jack
To play next yr Schmidt , Barlow, Laidlaw, White
Barry and MOL to veterans list
and recruit a fit Barry Hall...he cant possibly have a worse yr in 2008
With some luck we may make the 8 , but rebuild time starts now
                    Premiership window is officially shut

Move the Eski to midfield, he has much need pace there. Bring in Laidlaw who deserves a go off the halfback flank. And hope that the DOK develops real quick next year.

Eski isn't that quick, but yes he's needed up the field which is sort of how he's played the last two weeks.

we've had 5 years under roosy's style of footy and have made the prelim finals 3 times. Ok well it's not a brisbane lions effort of 4 straight grand finals, or north melbourne in the 90's of 7 straight prelim finals but hey, we did ok.

Robert Walls once said in that famous game mid season 2005 vs St.Kilda (when Demetriou scolded us) that we seem to play in a way to just make it to the finals due to the nature of the Sydney footy market.

I think we will find Sydney finishing 9-12th next season because the other sides who have built up strong lists this year will dominate the comp for the next 3 years.

sides like: geelong, hawthorn, port adelaide, kangaroos, collingwood

I think if Carlton and Richmond use their draft picks well and are hardened up then they might come into the fore in by 2009.

Expect a lean time for us IMO for '08 and maybe even '09.

I have no problem missing out on the 8 for a couple of years, aslong as we're being productive at the same time, and working our way back up with quality draft pick & trades.
