    Roos blew it

By not including Buchanan and axing Schmidt a few weeks ago and continuing to play his favorites such as Crouch.

    Was totally out coached tonight.

I didn't see much evidence of coaching. He picked his nose a bit and strolled around casually though. 10 / 10 for looking calm and 0 / 10 for trying to win the game.

Agreed. Crouch offers nothing, still picked on credits from GF year - a disgrace. Buchy was needed in the middle, at least would have added something. Roos had no idea, no b*lls. I mean even the commentators were confused why he wouldn't mix it up. Especially with Davis, 3 kicks all night but left sitting in the goal score. If hes not willing to compete, force him to by putting him in the middle. Goodes to CHF..wow! I'm sure that really threw Malthouse a curve-ball. NOT.

I was working tonight, when I walked in the door my wife said "They just play the same way all of the time even when they are getting beaten." She has only been watching Aussie Rules seriously for 3 years and she could pick it. Why couldn't Paul Roos?

Would have thought that Roos would have learned something from Eade about match day tactics, but quite simply him and his assistants are either unwilling or incapable of adapting to a situation on match day. We have plan a and plan a only, and when that doesn't work, we're stuffed.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I'm usually a supporter of Roos you can tell by my avatar but tonight he stuffed up by not selecting our best 22 he played right into Malthouses hands.
For once I agree with Walls it's time to blood more youngsters and get rid of the old if we want to have a team that can challenge in the finals again.
I know this will be hard for the club because they need to stay competitive in Sydney but it has to be done.

I was expecting a couple of late changes:

                    No such luck.

Comprehensively out coached, sad to say.

                    We made them look good

                      1. plays hard-working monkeys
                      2. has failed to modify game plan to new "hands" interpretation - both our backmen and our forwards play from behind.
                      3. even further reason for backmen to get in front tonight with three strong leading forwards to cover and they didn't
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Shocking selection decisions - chooses unfit or out-of-form Crouch, LRT and Hall, and chooses injured Schneider. Leaves out Buchanan and Hall.

Left Barry on Rusling all game.

                        Put LRT on Medhurst!?!?

Suddenly made a whole heap of changes in the backline, confusing the players and leaving Collingwood forwards free, and then did nothing again.

Seemed to do nothing to change either our midfield or forward structure, both of which were smashed.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
