I think a positive is that we get to do a real pre season! Another one is hopefully this season left a bitter taste in some players mouths and when they sit down and do their review, they get a bit of a reality check and find out that prancing around doing sweet f.a is NOT how we won 05 and got to the gf in 06.

Hopefully not, to the latter and hopefully yes to the former.

Look at Roos' comments after the game - there are still premiership credits!!

Well it's the next morning, but I'm still feeling down. From my point of view, the credits that Nick D had from the Geelong final, and Hally and Bucky had from the GF win have now been used up. What intrigues me more than most things is how players can go from starring one week when it really doesn't matter to being an embarrassment to the guernsey the following week when it does matter.
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Ah, I can see it now. A ruck division of Doyle, McVeigh and Bevan. Put Everitt on the goal line, and the opposition wouldn't even need to turn up. Doyle can do his knee at the centre bounce, Bevan can throw his body around at nothing, McVeigh can kick in the wrong direction, and Everitt can punch the ball through the opposition goals (but only if the siren has gone).

My point was that had the Crows won we would have got pick 10

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

the best positive out of last night was losing by more than a goal - it would have been really annoying if we got back to within a kick near the end and got pipped again

plus now i dont have to come back to perth next weekend and can now enjoy the festivities of the kal cup

If there is one good thing about being eliminated is that we can kick back and watch the rest of the finals series without the nerves, or feeling sick in the stomach wondering which Red & White team are going to show up.
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

We can all now officially jump on the Catters band wagon. At least they look like they want to win.
