After 24 hours to take in this particular game, and emerging from wallowing in the misery, I have come to the conclusion that I had already suspected prior to the event....we should have left the team EXACTLY as it was the previous week. Going by the history of this year, it was our best chance. An injured and frustrated Hall out there clearly seems to spook the rest of the forward half of the side. They seem jumpy with his glares and body language when he stuffs up....whether because of injury or not....far too "Hall-aware", to the teams detriment.
Seems to me, the fluidity and relaxed manner in which the forwards....in fact, the whole side, performed last week against the Hawks, was no coincidence.
Yes, I know this point is not a reflection on what should be around the corner....rebuilding....whatever....simply an observation on this particular clash after a very frustrating and puzzling season.
