I'm pretty sure I've heard coaches like Mathews and Sheedy say pretty much the same as DST's point on programmes like On the Couch.

Coaches such as Sheedy, Matthews and Malthouse all say that there are very minimal things you can do game day that will change the course of the match.

Sheedy in the past has said that it is nigh on impossible to change your game plan or player positioning during a game that will make a difference.

So I stand by my comments, almost all things you see on game day such as rotations, changes in game plan and players being swapped are decided before the game and are in most situations the decision of the players on the ground themselves.

It's all about having an effective game plan and then preparing the players to be able to deliver it consistently on match day.

Stoopid question of the day number one ... is the coaching staff's salary included in the overall "salary cap" of the club?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Doesn't sound right to me. There's a bucket load of activity and chat in the box and plenty of time on the phone to the bench. What's that all about? What are the runners doing? Do Wirrpanda and Hunter just decide to head forward for a while and have a bit of a crack because they feel like it?

Nope. Well I don't know that for a fact I must admit, but I assume the answer is nope!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

You are correct. It is only the players salaries that are in the cap.
