    Friday Night's prelim

I notice that Friday night's prelim is not televised until 8.30pm - damn shame they can't show it live especially as it is likely to be a near sell out.

Channel 7 has to show Better Homes before the footy.
    The pensioners would go berko!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Are you talking about Sydney or Melbourne?

The AFL should make Ch7 let Fox do it live on Ch518 if they are not prepared to show it live on 7.

          EDIT: 8pm in Melbourne.

I am pretty sure that will happen

I'm not sure they will at all, but let's hope so.

It's not advertised as being on 518 on AFL.com. During the year they always had a * and mention games live on 518.

I am just wondering why the match almost being a sell out in Melbourne would have anything to do with the game being shown live in Sydney??

Probably nothing Hammo. I'm just excited that we're getting Friday Night Footy on FTA that doesn't involve the swans.
It's a treat for Sydneysiders who are still interested in who gets into the grand final (so we can go for whichever team doesn't come from Melbourne).

It's only on short delay and may catch up as the game progresses ie during the quarter time, half time and three quarter time breaks.

I doubt it - they had the opportunity to do that with the Geelong-Roos game a few weeks back but still ended up on delay by a few minutes through the last quarter.

I read in the tv guide from the paper last weekend that it would be shown from 7.30 - must have been a misprint. Oh well it give us time to arrange the furniture, get the food and beverages arranged - and enjoy GO CATS!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

What I can't understand - as mentioned above - is that if one has cable, and one wants to PAY, then why can't one get the live feed??

Probably because this is where the $780 million deal with the FTA stations comes into play.
