    Ken McGregor and Hudson

Apparently they're both asking to be traded by the Crows, not sure what their exact reasons are, could have something to do with getting a better opportunity at another club. Although i always thought McGregor was an Adelaide regular?

Anyway, i think Ken would be worth looking at, if we could get him cheap. He could be very handy for us up forward and down back. Thoughts?

I think Hudson will get snatched by the dogs but i wouldn't mind taking a look at Mcgregor, the guy can play at ethier end of the ground which is handy.
Forget about Hall, it's all about Bradshaw

Definitely worth a look for those reasons. Question would be around fitness - he seems to have been in and out of the team due to injury a bit over the past couple of years.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

McGregor is similar to Grundy, he's a natural forward.

Playing him down back means disaster.

I don't want Ben Hudson at the club, but Kenny McGregor is diffenately worth a look at especially if we use him at Centre Half-Back if we don't go for Matthew Maguire.

McGregor and Goose in IMO are well worth a look with goose down back and Kenny mainly forward but we could give him a run down back.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

I would look at McGregor for sure.

I've seen Kenny take contested marks and kicking goals playing forward, Hall might be jealous if we get him.

Ken Mcgregor would be a great pick-up. If we could get him for a 2nd rounder then I'd say go for it. He's 26 years old, big lad, can play forward or back and has the knack of being kicking goals when it matters.

I reckon in a way, he'd be better for the bulldogs than Hudson and wouldn't suprise me if he went there.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Kenny? Doesn't he just sit in the Noble stand with his two girlfriends drinking tea?

Scott Stevens has consistently got a game against McGregor. Too soft for mine and one dimensional. All his good games haven't added up to a full good game. Waste of time even thinking about him.

Besides he needs a decent haircut. As Barassi says, if you cant play, at least look like a footballer.

McGregor is only just an AFL-standard player. He's an adequate contested mark and kick without being outstanding at either, doesn't have the pace to be a leading forward, doesn't have any flexibility. Wouldn't bother unless we got him effectively for nothing... and even then I'd hesitate.

Hudson is a non-issue for a club that already has a senior ruckman near the end of his career. John Meesen, on the other hand, would be great. Very likely to go from Adelaide (only accepted a one-year contract at the end of 2006 because he was impatient to play AFL). Pick 8 in the 2004 draft; finally debuted in R21 this year. Hasn't come on at the rate hoped, but he can obviously play (and his injury worries appear to be more niggle-like than anything chronic). Boy from general Geelong area, and I don't know if go-home-to-Vic is a factor; also not sure what we could ofer Adelaide that they'd want. (We should absolutely not give up pick 11, and he's worth more than pick 27, so it couldn't be a pick.)

I was struggling to put my finger on why I was struggling to get excited about McGregor as a prospect. But I think you've just ennunciated my gut feeling. He also seems to be a player who puts in a blinder one week and then does almost nothing for the next month. If we're starting to think about the Swans post Bazza, I'd much rather have a player capable of consistently providing a strong presence and acting as a lead up target, even if he's not as good as the best of Hall, than someone who's hot and cold.

And if the way Crows fans are harping on about his trade value, it sounds like they expect to get a fair bit for him. McGregor and Hudson in return for the Dogs' first two picks (one of which is no 5) and Jordan McMahon and Steven Tiller is one that a few like the sound of. (Though to be fair, as many are suggesting that the Dogs might not quite be convinced...)

I would love to see us chase Meesen. He has a lot of potential I feel and Id would fit into what we need very well I feel while being a bit further in front of someone such as Wood which will be important with Everitt not around for much longer.

Not really keen on either of Hudson or Macgregor to be honest- not sure they are the sort of player we should be considering.
