The Judd camp has chosen to ignore Hawthorn's keen interest for reasons yet to be revealed. It is safe to assume those reasons don't include Hawthorn's decision to overlook him in the 2001 National draft, when he was taken at No. 3, behind Luke Hodge and Luke Ball.

Sources suggest Judd has concerns about the culture at the club.
