    History - Pick 11

Did a little research on who was drafted at Pick # 11 over the years.

    2001 - Richard Cole (COLL)
    2002 - Jason Winderlich (ESS)
    2003 - Beau Waters (WCE)
    2004 - Adam Thomson (PA)
    2005 - Shaun Higgins (WB)
    2006 - Andrejs Everitt (WB)

No one really stands out of that lot. All solid players with one dud (Cole).

Just thought you folks would find this interesting.

Jeffers, go back a few more years and there are some very good players.

    2000 - Trent Sporn
    1999 - Darren Glass
    1998 - Lenny Hayes
    1997 - Jason Saddington

I would gladly accept any of those players, other than Cole, onto the Swans' list. I would gladly trade this year's no 11 pick for any of those players, other than Cole - though I doubt the club for whom they currently play would be so willing.

If anyone has expectations that we will snare a significantly player than those listed above with this year's no 11 pick, I think their expectations are unrealistic and they are more likely to be disappointed than not.

Alex Rance is being compared to Glass in playing style...could be a good omen for us!

But Rance is likely to go before pick 11.

That's true. We can only hope that he slips through. Saints may get him with pick 9.

It will be tight with Alex Rance, will be in the mix for anywhere between 8 to 15.

He has been talked about as a KPP so he might go earlier than #8.

Could do, but some of these phantom drafts seem to indicate that most clubs below us are looking for midfielders or ruckman, so the KPP may fall later in the draft this year.

You would give up pick 11 for Beau "can't kick" Waters?

Hope so,but we need midfielders too and a ruckman if Jolly's missus gets her way.
