    This time last year.

    .....I was on the phone booking plane flights,organising people to get me a ticket,ringing my daughter to get organised for a big weekend in Melbourne.


    Boy is it an anti-climax now......the holidays end tomorrow,the Port/Kangaroos game was a fizzer,if this is all there is my friend then let's keep dancing.

    I know my wallet is pleased but it has been a while since I have had to think about where I am going to watch the Grand...have I got any friends with big screen teles,which pies to eat,what to wear for the half time kick.

    Good to see there still isn't a Melbourne team in the Grand.....hah

      I was on my way back from Sydney and booking my trip to Melbourne..

      Today's game was a disgrace. Lets just hope next week isn't!

          I have tickets for the GF through a corporate issue and whilst a few years ago I was always happy to go to any GF now that I have experienced it with the Swans playing I am not that keen to watch as a neutral supporter. I also have these feelings of guilt knowing that there would be die hard Geelong supporters feeling like Swans supporters did in 2005 and not able to get tickets.

              I bought my Melbourne tickets before the Friday night Prelim V Fremantle so this time last year I just felt lucky to even have a plane ticket!

              I don't think I could go with free tickets as a neutral supporter.

              Maybe you should sell them on ebay but only for a "Buy it now" price of how much it would cost if they were bought from an outlet. That way you make a few quid but your not scalping as such. Or do the tickets say not for relsale?

                      The 'phone attack' was run and won by then, all done the week before.

                      I was getting ready to head down for the Ressies GF in Canberra and rushing back to jump online at 6pm for confirmation of whether I had obtained tickets and where we were sitting.

                          You cannot re-sell Grand Final tickets unless you are a registered re-seller. We paid for them as my husband wants to go, it is me that doesn't. Also had to organise them before we knew who was playing in Grand Final.

                                          I was on the plonk at bondi, had everything booked so was "relaxing" over a couple hundred vodkas...

                                          preparing my liver for what was to come the next night (at the brownlow) and then the next week...
