Partly but if he could not crack a game until now IMHO he doesnt deserve it.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Very tought for the kid, I imagine that would be very hard to get over.... but... I can see the reason for inclusion of King just on form alone, isn't he coming off a (near if not) BOG performance in the VFL Grand Final? I think I read he had around 20 disposals, a goal or two and 30 HOs? Proves a point you can run out a game.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I think this comment is particularly pertinent.
Nice Bomber, you have let this kid down, he trains his heart out, plays his heart out in the VFL / AFL throughout 2007 and then misses the opportunity to play in either of the two Grand Finals, this kid will be shattered. Posted by: Barry of melbourne 7:54am today

King makes sense when Lade is so important for Port.

Tough call, I know how he feels. When I played 18's I played all year and 2 finals (in an undefeated team) and the coach saw fit to dump me for the GF for a bloke who's knees were shot and could barely raise a gallop.
