Goal of the Year...they've got to be joking !!!!

Lisa-Marie's husbands backheel effort adjudged goal of the year is a bloody joke, surely.

If it is a better advertisement for our game than Danyle Pearce's four bounce, two dummy, two baulk and three sidestep effort from 90 metres out, than, well I give up.

Motlop's 50m banana on the outside of his boot against Brisbane was superior. Seriously, I could name 10 goals off the top of my head that required a greater level of expertise and were more spectacular than Lloyd's effort.

    Disgraceful, IMHO.

Maybe it's just me. I thought Lloyd's goal was unique. It was brilliant, quick thinking and perfectly executed. Something I have never seen before, and doubt I will ever see again.

Yeh, it was amazing that they voted for that one, which was more a case of quick thinking.

There were many much more exciting goals than that one.

There was one that they showed on the Brownlow by Pavlich. It was far ssuperior to Lloyd's. Lloyd himself said he practices the back-heel at training. It was a clever goal, but it really wasn't all that spectacular.

Should have been a free kick to Carlton for incorrect disposal, surely?!?

i think it was more luck (right place - right time) than skill, unlike many others which were great examples of individual skill and brilliance.

oh and i hate matthew lloyd!!

Mickey O's solo effort in Rd 22 (I think??) is also worth a mention.

Agree with AlisonZ, can't stand M Lloyd as well. I mean, what sort of schmuck plucks the grass to check which way the wind is blowing at Telstra Dome when the roof is closed???
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"
