Sam Power if he comes up is very good news too. We will have a well balanced midfield with grunt, skill, a strong mark (Power) and pace (Mattner)> If the Power deal comes off and with Mattner we have improved our midfield significantly. And yes we do need mobile strong marking midfielders to take the Benny and Bevo floaters.
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
A lot of positive thoughts on this thread but I'm not convinced.
Mattner's disposal has been questionable at times (he's got one of those slow "lifty hands up in the air" kicking styles) although he has generally linked up well through the middle with the Crows.
On the positive side it's great to have a player from the mighty Double Blues playing for the Swans again.
He'll fit in very well with the other cant-kicks in the team, Jude, Kirk, etc.
"he has generally linked up well through the middle with the Crows."
Unfortunately for him, we don't go down the middle, we go round the boundary into the pockets...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
