But if Schneider is under contract for 2 more years, wouldn't he have to agree to be traded to the Saints? And if he doesn't agree to be traded, then does that mean the trade falls through? I hope that is the case. I would hate to both lose Schneider and Buchanan.

There is still massive confusion on what the trade (if it has gone through) is actually for.
Perth news said it was Schneider for 2nd rounder, then ch 10 saying its for Leigh Fisher.
Schneider has said he wants to stay and he has the final say in the matter because he is under contract. Bridges have probably been burnt now and may well agree.

I would prefer to keep Monty, but even if we trade all 3, it just opens up many possibilities.
How can we expect to see Schmidt, Laidlaw, Moore, Jack, DOK, Bird, Thornton, Brabazon ........... to get a chance in the seniors if we hold on to our current midfielders at the same time. There just ain't room for them all. We spent the whole season clambering to give these guys a chance, but we can't have it both ways.
If we can manage to sneak in another top 20 pick, this could be a pretty good off season for the Swans. It could be the rejuvenation we've all been looking for, if the posts during the year reflect our true feelings.
If Roos is willing to unload 3 of our best midfielders, then I would assume he has a good deal of confidence that a fair number of the above named youngsters can produce on the big stage. That's what I read into this, and I find it very encouraging.
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! BWAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Where's a crying smilie when you need one. I will ceremoniously bury my Schneider badge..... Roos never liked him
His debut season was too flashy for Roos, so he slowly lost the knack of kicking those amazing goals. I'd always hoped Schneider would come good, but he hasn't so it might be a fair trade.
Hopefully your right NMWBloods and Mal and Kennelly are released into the midfield, that would settle the skill and pace problem.

Where's the official confirmation? And what did we actually get in return? And what does contracted Schneider himself think of all of this? This is by far a done deal. Have faith Schneider fans!
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
A spark every now and then is not what we need from Schneider though. I like him as a player but apart from flashes (and brief ones at that) of brilliance he didnt show a lot to me. Id be happy if we got the right trade for him. Funnily enough I prefer Buchanan over Schneider rather then the other way. Will be interesting to see what happens though.
