I don't want to lose schneider!!
it depends on what we gain but if it's only draft picks then i'm not sure - schneider is in the starting 22 yet a draft pick may not start next season at all due to youth, fitness and ability as seen in the past years.

And probably a top 10 pick!

Could be one of our best drafts.

Schneider and #11 to Saints and Sydney would get #9 and #26 from Saints.

Sounds ok to me then we could keep #9 and use #26 to pick up a good fringe player like Tenace.

No B2 (or is that B1 now)? Your kidding right?
And, I think you have the wrong Fisher.

That would be correct weight. Improvement from #11 to #9 might make a real difference to the player we get, whereas by the time you get to the 20s, it's all a lottery (e.g. a 2005 phantom draft predicted that Matt Laidlaw would go at #19-- we actually got him at more like #51).

We don't need Leigh Fisher. We have enough competent-but-unremarkable warm bodies with defensive instincts. Perhaps too many.

                      What the???

If the report below is true then take out Dempster from your starting line ups, thing is why would we give TWO REGULARS for a SECOND ROUND PICK ONLY!!!!

Roosy and Lyon deal??? Or is the paper missing the fact that we would get FIRST ROUND PICK!!!

Who knows what is going on - this arctile completely contradicts the Dailiy Telegraph http://realfooty.com.au/news/news/sc...696002559.html with the added twist of Dempster+Schneider to the Saints.

Two 23-year-old semi-regular senior players for a single second-round pick? I don't like that at all. If we were getting a ready-made key back in the mix, I could live with it, but not someone who will take at least a year to develop from a relatively weak draft.

I'm the first to admit I havent a clue about the draft thing, but why are they getting rid of Schneids and possibly Dempster and keeping Bevan, Matthews and McVeigh - cant those 3 go as a job lot?
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

well on the 5am news this morning it was mentioned that Dempster was up for trade as well with Schneider. Whether its right or not - I'm just stating what I heard.

That's what it says in the Age.

If it's true, Roos is doing a massive favour to one of his best mates in Ross Lyon. There should be an inquiry.
