Could well be. As I said, I'm a bit vague on the rule details

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I think, and this only a thought, that if they announce they are going to retire after the deadline for giving the AFL your list for the next year then they are counted under the cap. eg. Matera after season '05
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Where is there any notification that Schneider and Dempster have been traded to St Kilda for pick 26 on the afl website ?

Surely if they have been traded then the afl would have mentioned something

I have just been on that website and there is no mention of both Schneider and Dempster being traded to St Kilda

I will believe this rubbish when I see it on the afl website

That was not the official afl website

                  That was another website

The official afl website is www.afl.com.au and that is the source that I believe all trades that have happened

Anything else is pure speculation and rubbish

I think you'll find it's just that the paperwork hasn't been lodged with the AFL yet. Both clubs though have confirmed the trade.

It has just been announced on the afl website

I am sad that the Swans are giving up Dempster and Schneider for one draft pick but who knows what they will get for that

We may just unearth the next Paul Kelly or Brett Kirk

                      It is all luck

Maybe a bird in hand is worth two blokes from the bush?
