    Henry Playfair a Swan

    For pick 44.

Pretty good trade, definitely worth a punt. Well, he can't be any worse than the last Geelong player we traded for.

Yep, he played an extremely good game in the VFL GF, a few weeks ago, and will struggle to get a game at Geelong with their current list.

The best news in light of Adam Schnieder's departure is that Henry Playfair is orginally from the greater Sydney area

          Not even close.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

OK, Ok, I know he originally grew up in country New South Wales. However, he did play for North Shore in the premier Sydney Competition.

I'm happy if Playfair is coming to the Swans, but I won't start celebrating until the club confirms it.

He better bloody star for us and not do a David Spriggs and Paul Chambers who came from Geelong on us. 3rd time luck perhaps from the Cats?

Greg Williams, Bernard Toohey and David Bolton were OK. IIRC correctly Greg Williams may have done something significant
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

The silly thing about the Playfair trade report is that Cats fans (and others who watched the VFL GF - I didn't) claim he has become a pretty reliable key defender at VFL level after years of the Cats trying to convince themselves he was a forward.

We need a tall body to play FB so that Leo doesn't have to.

So seems to make some sense.

But Roos reports that he's glad to have found another forward option...

Well he is from NSW and will be more happy at the Swans. I hope he goes alright, it might ease the pain a bit of losing Schneider.

Am I right in saying that Playfair and LRT played together for Shore at high school?
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .
