    Paul roos lying about Dempster

Paul Roos: "For Sean he felt and we felt that with Marty Mattner coming in opportunities are going to be limited."

Adam Schneider: "Both Sean and I were pretty surprised ... I haven't spoken to him that much because I've been away, but we had a couple of text messages when the deal was done. "

Please don't tuck this away in the wrong thread, it's not about Schneider FFS, it's about Roos trading away Premiership players and lying about the motivation.

I'm not sure how this is pointing to rock-solid proof that Roos is dabbling in the black arts.

How's this for an alternative intepretation? Text in italics added by me:

Paul Roos: "For Sean he felt and we felt (after discussing the matter with him and explaining our plans for the future) that with Marty Mattner coming in opportunities are going to be limited."

    As for the Schneider quote:

Adam Schneider: "Both Sean and I were pretty surprised ... I haven't spoken to him that much because I've been away, but we had a couple of text messages when the deal was done. "

So he can claim to speak for Dempster can he, despite not having spoken to him much about it?

I think you're reading too much into this, saney.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Roos' spin implied that it was Dempster's suggestion to leave but Schneider (who was on holiday with Dempster at the time I believe) suggests that he was pushed.

All depends on your interpretation.... And I doubt that the whole turn of events can be summed up in less than two paragraphs from all three perspectives...

An interview with the reclusive Dempster would solve the problem.

If they were on holiday together, why (as Schneider stated) would they have only exchanged a few texts?

Sorry Des, and I love your work - but it's "Dempster can, can't he?" OR "Dempster can't, can he?"

                  Did Schneider state that?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Perhaps Adam just meant that Sean was suprised that Adam was traded.

When first reading the Roos quote, I interpreted it as, 'We told him, "Things aren't going to get any better for you in 2008 with Marty Mattner arriving, mate", and he agreed that we were telling him the truth'.

It would be a very strained interpretation to say that Roos was implying that it was partially originally Dempster's idea that his name be put up for trading.

                      Nice try, though.

they might have been on on opposite sides of the pool (and it was a really big pool!)
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

As opposed to the other school of thought:

                              Roos is a phallus.
