    Dick Pratt must go

If Ben Cousins has brought the game into disrepute and should be sacked, where does that leave Dick Pratt?

Should a price-fixer who ripped off hundreds of thousands of Australians be president of an AFL club?

Slightly poorer. Not a long bow to draw.

He's not a business person I admire particularly but he throws a bloody awesome Grand Final breakfast.

What is it with Carlton? Elliott, Pratt ...Perhaps they should approach Rodney Adler, he knows a bit about knocking off Geelong.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Does the AFL have the right to strip a club of it's president?
If so, then yes, he should go.
If not, then I guess it's up to the board of the said club.

If it were Sydney, I'd want him gone.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

It's a pretty ordinary look having someone like him as president of a footy club. One would imagine that a role such as his should have a built in probity clause, or a code of conduct requiring certain ethical standards of behaviour at the very least.

If Kennett can be a President I think it's pretty much open slather.

Did Dick Pratt have contractual arragements with the AFL to keep his business clean? I guess not. Gotta stop the Ben Cousins sympathising and call it what it is. He's a junky who threw away his career under contract.

Carlton have to be careful. They have a duty of care to Dick Pratt.

You are really making yourself look silly with this, just give it away.

Its ok that you did not understand 'duty of care'

Clearly you are not a lawyer so it is not that big a deal.

But up to you, carry on if you think it will help

No offence intended, just being neighbourly

Don't start that duty of care @@@@ here. You've all already turned me off the other thread.

But they do owe him a duty of care. It's in the constitution. Read it, you might learn something (for once).

His off field business dealings have nothing to do with the Club. Was Collingwood asked to hand back the million dollars that Brad Cooper donated to it? Did they feel morally obliged to surrender it? Silly question.

Pls for the benefit of others here quote the relevant part for us all to read. What duty of care was shown to Barge Arse Elliott before he was shafted.

Morals and other behaviour has no effect on presidency.

The only duty of care they have to him is to ensure his rich adulterating backside doesn't get stuck in the toilet.
