It's not a bad way to start pre-season.

Is running a marathon pre preseason good for you? Especially coming off injuries? I thought you would have to be training a while for it.. It will be a long year for Crouchy.

As a midfielder, his body would be adapted to running long distances. I'm sure he wouldn't be running it if his body wasn't up to it. It would be a good prep for the season next year.

Wally's memory will get him through the tough spots.

                Death in the NY marathon.

Sad to see in the news that an American, Ryan Shay 26 yrs old, who was aiming to be a member of the US Olympic marathon team died just 5 miles into the race. I haven't heard anywhere how Jared Crouch went, but I'm sure he and his team would be pretty upset that someone has died, possibly from some sort of heart condition, given that they were running to raise money and awareness of heart disease. I haven't heard anything yet, but I will be really glad to hear that Jared and his team successfully completed the race.

Was Ryan Shay on the rookie list?

                    From the Swans website -

"Sydney Swans' defender Jared Crouch successfully completed the New York Marathon on Sunday afternoon, New York time. Crouch completed the 42.2 kilometre race in just under six hours."
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Impressive to finish a marathon no matter who you are. Well done Crouchy.

Very sad news about the American olympic hopeful.

He must have been racing Mrs Tom Cruise.
Katie Holmes was among the tens of thousands of runners participating in Sunday's New York City Marathon, finishing the race in five hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds.
