When do we start our pre-season?

Brisbane went back yesterday (next week for older players)

Seeing we only played for an extra week, I would guess we are due next Monday or at the latest the 12/11?

    Anyone got any info?

I've heard out of a horses mouth that it is "November". I would assume that means the 6th.

I thought I read somewhere recently that most of the team resume on 5th November, but I can't remember where I saw it.

I can confirm the running starts on November 6th.

It will be a terrific chance to see both Mattner and Playfair in full stride.

Rumour has it that Mattner leads with his right foot, While Playfair is more your traditional left foot man. I cant wait to see if this is true.

I also understand the lads will be moving from the traditional powerade to a new gatorade regime. Apparently Kirky thought the green powerade was a cheap capitalist sham and did not have any real green credentials.

More news as it comes in

Do you believe they will really start on Melbourne Cup Day?

In Sydney, we're lucky to get time off for the race, let alone a whole day off.
They can train in the morning, have lunch, do more training, take off 10 mins for the race, and then get back to it.
              Just like everyone else.

Roos is really trying to test Davo's commitment.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Being a native Victorian, I can legally claim the day off as a religous holiday.....

I expect them to get into the spirit of Melb Cup whilst on the running track - full morning suit and top hat - great running attire and sweat producer (for those boys who have put on a little weight, sweat it out in one session)
Champers and carrots sticks as a treat whist watching the race.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

haha poor NSW doesnt even get a day off- we are even getting one here in the ACT for Melbourne cup day- some "Family and Community services day" or some rubbish- only an excuse so all the public servants can go to the races!

As tempting as it is to get an extra public holiday ... that's still not enough to make me move to sunny Canberra.
