I wonder if the lovers playing for Weston Creek was a condition of the Swans or the ACTAFL. Would make much more sense if they played for the team our boys were up against.

There would be:

More closer games - add 3 or 4 Swans to Belconnen or Queenbayan and there would really be a contest.

Skilled medical people around should one of the lovers get injured. (I keep imagining some poor bloke getting chucked in the back of a ute until the last beer is sunk!)

Swans staff around to asses performance etc.

Plus, we the fans, would get to see all the magoos in action.

This would signal that the Swans plan to run with two less rookies, having Magic and LBarry on the vets list instead.

This way the two player thing does not effect us quite as much, as we'll have two less players.

So we have 13 listed players on the field at anyone time with a squad of 24, but with a maximum of 18 listed players picked each week. If we had a maximum of 18 on one week that means 5 of the additional players that make up the 24 are on the ground at any one time. Boy are they going to be flogged.

It doesn't appear to me Mase that we will have 2 less rookies but the coaches will be working overtime with the rotations. I would be surprised if we have a maximum 18 players on many weeks. To make it workeable you would be better to go with 15 listed players selected to save the top up boys from exhaustion.

Geez Andrew are you the Sydney Swans or the Canberra Swans??? It's a pity the Swans don't have a similar attitude towards the SydneyFL. Be nice to give a bit back to compensate for grinding it into the ground over the last 25 years.
